Leg 1: Northside

6.05pm Compulsory Race Briefing, 6:15pm race start - , Friday 21/07/23

7km. Starting and finishing in an area behind the sign post for “Wigleys Waterhole” on the left of Stuart Hwy, just north of Geoff Moss Bridge. Instead of turning right to Wigleys, turn left, we’ll be right there.

This trail is as North as they get for Alice Springs. It flows along the Roadtrain trail heading south, over Charles Creek and onto the Larapinta trail, climbing up and over to the railway service road. It follows this service road north before hooking back onto the northern end of Roadtrain, bringing you back to the starting location. This will be a beautiful run with two stunning vantage points, the MacDonnell ranges will be glowing in the distance until the sun sets and the lights of Alice come to life.

Head torch required.

Leg 2: Eastside

6:45am Compulsory Race Briefing, 7am Race Start, Saturday 22/07/23

6km. The eastside leg is on the much loved Inarlenge/Echidna trails. Starting on a small climb from the carpark and then some good flats to get the legs warmed up before a climb that gives such a beautiful view of the ranges. The trail is undulating throughout and is on the right side of challenging. What a beautiful way to start the day and continue this Four Corner’s Journey.

Leg 3: Westside Saturday 23/7/23

5:35pm Compulsory Race Briefing, 5.45pm Race Start, Saturday 23/7/23

5.5km. Starting and finishing from the Scout Hall at 116 Larapinta Drive

A heart starter straight up the hill to warm you up, then down rocky technical single track brings you to the Westside (best-side) trails! Enjoy running into the sunset clockwise along the flowing Atetherre (Budgy) loop,  interspersed with glorious views of Mount Gillen. Back up the hill to the water tank and a quick finish will have your quads firing!

Headtorch required.

Leg 4: Southside

7:45am Compulsory Race Briefing, 8am Race Start, Sunday 24/07/23

7km. Starting and finishing at Emily’s Gap on the Yeperenye Trail to bring your Four Corners 2023 series home! The course is an out-and-back along a generous single-track trail. There are stunning views from the trail of the ranges, and you get an incredible closeup. Volunteers:

SWEEPS - We will be needing sweeps for each event. A sweep follows the competitors, always keeping behind them. Sweeps ensure no one is left behind, picks up any rubbish that may have been dropped unnoticed and collects the trail markers. A sweep can hike behind participants or time their start so they can get some running in themselves. A sweep will be in contact with the race director. The great thing about being a sweep is that you can do the course for free! If this sounds like you, please register here.

REGO/START LINE HELP - We would love some help to get everyone registered and checked in before the event starts. You can do this role and also participate in the event. If you are able to arrive an hour before the event, that would be perfect. Again, please register here.
