Event information

Registrations for this event are not currently available.

Join us for the 10 year anniversary of the Indigenous Marathon Project in Alice Springs, the birthplace of the project. This is a never before event, run under the full moon on Arrernte Country starting at 10pm October 31st.

Whilst it is not a race, participants are welcome to run to support squad members complete their first marathon and become graduates of the program. You can choose to run all or part of the distance. But you must register if you plan on attending the event (Registration is free). There will not be a transport service to get people to or from specific locations of the event, however there will be aid stations every 4kms where people can stop at, assist at, or rest at, prior to returning to the start/finish line (It is an out and back course).

This year's Indigenous Marathon Squad have been unable to attend the regular camps that the program utilises for training and education and have battled it out individually up until now, proving how resilient and determined they are. Due to COVID, they will also not be travelling to New York to complete their marathon, like runners in previous years have been able to do. Let's show this year's squad members how amazing Alice Springs is at running events and give them the marathon they deserve.
